Let your land earn steady income for decades

Generate new revenue from your land. Lease it for solar energy and battery storage for a secure income and a renewable future.

How it works

What does leasing your land involve?

You get an opportunity to diversify your farm's income streams. By combining your traditional agriculture and forestry with an energy park, you secure stable revenue for decades to come, while contributing renewable energy.

  • A steady income

The lease often yields higher returns compared to traditional agriculture or forestry. You will receive it annually and for a duration of 40 to 50 years.

  • Income diversification

Building a passive income stream from leasing out land is a smart way to strengthen your farming or forestry business. It provides financial security that smooths out market fluctuations and protects your operations during tougher times.

  • Local renewable energy

With an energy park on your land, you contribute important local, renewable energy to the grid.

Is your land suitable for an energy park?

Three main factors determine if your land is suitable for solar energy and energy storage. While every site requires a unique, individual assessment, these three core aspects lay the foundation for the evaluation.

  • Size and land type

We are seeking land of at least 20 hectares within electricity price areas SE3 and SE4. We are interested in various land types, including agricultural, pasture, industrial and forest land. Additionally, we require the land to be flat and dry.

  • Grid proximity

Land close to substations, potential connection points or regional power lines is often attractive.

  • Irradiance and location

Properties in southern Sweden, especially along the coasts, offer the best conditions for energy parks. The combination of regional power shortages, open spaces, and strong solar radiation means that energy parks perform better than in other parts of the country.

Guide

How an energy park comes to life

From initial site assessment and agreement to permitting, grid connection, construction, operation and decommissioning – we manage the entire process.

  1. Securing land, permits and grid connection

Once the land lease agreement is signed, we do the necessary environmental and ground studies, prepare the required documentation, consult with the municipality and County Administrative Board, and apply for all relevant permits. In parallel, we work with the grid operator to secure a connection.

  2. Power Purchase Agreement (PPA)

At all times, Primora is engaged with multiple companies interested in purchasing solar power directly from our energy parks. Together, we assess each company's needs. A Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) gives companies long-term control over their energy costs while helping enable the development of new energy parks across the Nordics.

  3. Construction

We manage the construction process in-house. We install ground-mounted solar panels and complete systems, including inverters, transformers, energy storage, and all associated cabling.

  4. Operations and maintenance (O&M)

We manage the maintenance of both technology and land within the project. We continuously monitor, inspect, clean, and maintain the facility. Around the panels, we keep the landscape open and well-kept, either through mowing or with the help of grazing sheep.

  5. Decommissioning

Upon completion of the project, we will dismantle the facility, remove all materials, and restore the ground in accordance with the agreement. Financial security for this work is guaranteed in the lease agreement.

What is the lifespan of an energy park?

The energy park has a lifespan of at least 40 years, but is expected to last even longer.

Can I continue to use the land while you apply for the permit?

In most cases, you can continue farming, grazing or using the land until construction begins. Any restrictions during the development period will be clearly stated in the agreement.

How long does it take to build an energy park?

The park's construction time is estimated to be 6–12 months. The exact period depends on the size of the park and the ground conditions.

What happens when the lease ends?

We are responsible for dismantling the facility, removing the equipment and restoring the land to the condition agreed in the lease. Financial security for decommissioning and restoration is provided in accordance with the agreement.
